AGIX Agribusiness & Agritech Expo 2027 Set to Drive Investment, Innovation, and Food Systems Transformation in Nigeria

Enugu, Nigeria | January 29–30, 2027

Africa Growth Industries Exchange (AGIX Africa) is set to host the AGIX Agribusiness & Agritech Expo 2027, a major international trade exhibition and conference scheduled for 29–30 January 2027 at the International Conference Centre (ICC), Enugu, Nigeria.

The Expo is designed as a B2B and B2G marketplace, bringing together agribusiness operators, agritech companies, policymakers, investors, development partners, and research institutions to accelerate innovation, investment, and value-chain development across Nigeria and Africa.

AGIX Africa is a pan-African organisation legally registered in both the United Kingdom and the Federal Republic of Nigeria, committed to building platforms that connect industry, capital, policy, and innovation across priority growth sectors.

Why the AGIX Agribusiness & Agritech Expo Matters

Agriculture remains one of Africa’s most strategic economic sectors, yet it continues to face challenges related to productivity, technology adoption, financing, and value addition. The AGIX Agribusiness & Agritech Expo was created to address these gaps by providing a practical platform where solutions meet decision-makers.

The Expo will focus on scalable, production-ready technologies and business models across the agricultural value chain, including:

  • Agribusiness investment and financing
  • Agricultural mechanisation and farm systems
  • Livestock, poultry, and aquaculture technologies
  • Animal nutrition, feed additives, and animal health
  • Agritech and digital agriculture solutions
  • Food processing, storage, and value addition
  • Climate-smart and resilient agricultural system

With an expected 3,000+ attendees and 100+ exhibitors, the Expo will attract local and international stakeholders actively shaping the future of agriculture in Africa.

Why Enugu State

Enugu State was selected as the host location due to its strategic position in South-East Nigeria, strong agribusiness potential, and growing focus on private-sector-led development. Hosting the Expo in Enugu reinforces the region’s ambition to become a hub for agribusiness, technology, and investment, while creating opportunities for businesses and institutions across the South-East and beyond.

Beyond Exhibitions: Knowledge, Policy, and Partnerships

The AGIX Agribusiness & Agritech Expo goes beyond product displays. The two-day programme will feature:

  • Policy and investment dialogues
  • Technical conference sessions and workshops
  • Structured B2B matchmaking
  • Sector-focused panels on livestock, mechanisation, and agritech
  • Engagement forums for government and development partners

The goal is to enable real commercial outcomes, partnerships, and policy alignment, not just conversations.

Youth Development and the Future of Agriculture

A key component of the Expo is AGIX Africa’s youth initiative, the Southern Nigeria Agricultural Student Fellows Programme (SNASFP). The programme is designed to identify and mentor outstanding agricultural students across Southern Nigeria, exposing them to industry leaders, innovation ecosystems, and policy platforms.

By integrating SNASFP into the Expo, AGIX Africa aims to bridge the gap between academic training and industry needs, while preparing the next generation of agribusiness professionals and innovators.

Media, Knowledge, and Industry Insights

AGIX Africa is also the publisher of Roots & Returns Magazine, a quarterly agribusiness and food systems publication. The magazine serves as the official publication of the Expo, featuring exhibitor spotlights, sector analysis, policy insights, and post-event reporting.
